Eric DeGroot serves as the Foundation Director at WisPACT, where he leads the organization’s philanthropic strategy to support individuals with disabilities across Wisconsin. With a background in psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and Oxford University in the UK, Eric has built a career grounded in advocacy, innovation, and systems-level change for disability-focused nonprofits.
Eric brings extensive leadership experience to Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin’s Board of Directors, which he joined in 2024. He is a founding member and inaugural President of the Alliance of Pooled Trusts, and a current member of the National Pooled Trust Standards Committee. He also serves on the Boards of Independence First and the National PLAN Alliance, and previously served on the Board of the Autism Society of Greater Wisconsin. In 2025, he was honored as one of BizTimes’ Notable Nonprofit Board Leaders for his dedication and impact.
Eric believes deeply in Easterseals’ mission to empower individuals with disabilities and foster inclusive communities. His involvement is fueled by a passion for advancing equity, access, and opportunity through thoughtful collaboration and strong community partnerships. In his free time, Eric enjoys golfing and spending time outdoors.
