Mary Nagel-Crisman is the Director of Human Resources at Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin, where she provides strategic oversight of all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, benefits and compensation, compliance, employee relations, and organizational policy development. She also collaborates closely with the IT team to streamline administrative operations and enhance internal processes across the agency.
With over two decades of progressive HR leadership experience, Mary brings deep expertise in building people-centered organizations that align workforce development with operational goals. Before joining Easterseals in 2017, she held human resources roles in nursing homes, assisted living, and independent living communities—gaining valuable experience in highly regulated, mission-driven environments. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and Economics from Marquette University and maintains a strong commitment to operational excellence through cross-functional leadership.
Mary’s passion for human resources is rooted in her desire to support and advocate for the people who drive meaningful impact. She is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive workplace where employees feel supported, valued, and equipped to do their best work. Her behind-the-scenes leadership helps ensure that internal systems function smoothly—so staff can remain focused on delivering vital, life-changing services to individuals and families.
Outside of work, Mary enjoys spending time with her wife and their three children. Weekends often find the family on the soccer field, cheering from the sidelines and embracing the energy of the game. Mary also has a creative side and enjoys photography, capturing meaningful moments both on and off the field.
