Michael Shepard serves as an IPS Program Supervisor at Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin, where he provides guidance and oversight to the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment team. In this role, he ensures the program remains grounded in fidelity to the IPS model, offers high-quality services, and promotes strong collaboration between employment specialists, clinical teams, and community employers. His leadership helps connect individuals living with mental illness to meaningful employment opportunities and lasting support.
Michael’s professional journey began in education, where he worked with Special Education students at Hartford Union High School and Milwaukee Public Schools. In 2018, he transitioned to the mental health field, applying his skills to help individuals gain stability, self-confidence, and independence. His dual background in education and mental health informs a person-centered approach to leadership and support.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University and a master’s degree from Bellevue University. Passionate about empowering others, Michael brings both heart and strategy to his role—ensuring his team has the tools and guidance they need to help clients succeed.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys real estate, skiing, biking, and DIY projects. Most of all, he values quality time with his family.
