Camp & After School

Inclusive seasonal programs where children, teens, and adults of all abilities build friendships, skills, and lifelong memories.

Supported by Milwaukee County Department of Health and Human Services: Aging & Disability Services

Overview

Seasonal programs offer children, teens, and young adults with disabilities the chance to explore, connect, and grow in supportive, engaging environments. Our summer camps, after school programs, and adult excursion opportunities provide safe, structured settings to build friendships, strengthen social skills, and experience the joy of inclusion. By participating in fun, age-appropriate activities, individuals gain independence and confidence while families benefit from trusted respite.

Research shows that social experiences are critical to healthy development. When children and young adults are included in group settings, they learn cooperation, decision-making, and self-advocacy—skills that extend far beyond camp or school. For adults, recreational and skill-building opportunities offer a pathway to greater independence, connection, and confidence in navigating the world around them.

At Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin, we’re proud to offer two summer camp locations that welcome children and teens of all abilities, creating summers filled with opportunities, discovery, and inclusion. In addition, our two-week Adult Excursion Camp gives adults the chance to explore new places, engage with their community, and build practical life skills through real-world experiences. Whether in the woods, on an outing, or at an after school activity, our Seasonal Programs ensure every participant has the chance to shine, connect, and create lasting memories.
