Safe Babies Healthy Families (SBHF) is part of the Healthy Families America (HFA) network, and we provide in‑home support to help caregivers and young children stay safe, healthy, and thriving. Our work focuses on the real‑life challenges families face and how those challenges can affect a child’s well‑being.
We begin supporting families during pregnancy and continue through a child’s early years, up to age five. Visiting families in their homes gives us a chance to understand what daily life looks like for them, what obstacles they’re facing, and how we can help. Our goal is simple: give caregivers and children the tools, support, and encouragement they need to build a strong, healthy start in life. Because every family is different, our program is flexible and shaped around each family’s unique needs.
We follow evidence‑based HFA guidelines, but we tailor our approach to each household. Families receive regular screenings and check‑ins so we can keep an eye on health and development, catch concerns early, and connect them with helpful resources. We also share practical information and guidance to support healthy parenting and child development. One thing that sets us apart is our long‑term commitment—we stay connected with families consistently over several years, which helps build trust and stability.
At the heart of our work is a simple belief: when parents experience safety, stability, comfort, and joy in a supportive relationship, they’re better able to pass those same experiences on to their children. Strong relationships create strong families, and strong families create healthier futures.
