Who We Are
Safe Babies Healthy Families (SBHF) is an accredited Healthy Families America (HFA) home visitation provider offering in home visiting services to address social determinants of health vulnerability factors impacting caregiver and child(ren) safety and well-being.
Having been in operation for over 20 years, our preventative, research-based home visitation program supports women prenatally continuing with caregivers and their children during their foundational years in their primary residence up to age five. This affords the opportunity to support families in their natural environments to identify adversities and barriers to success. Our program diligently supports children and caregivers in achieving healthy outcomes that build a stable foundation for success throughout life. The unparalleled flexibility our program offers is unique to the needs of families and the communities we serve.
Our service provision specifically addresses the individual needs of each family served focusing on federally evidence based HFA established objectives. We provide screens and assessments at regular intervals to ensure health, wellness, identify potential concerns, and make referrals for both caregiver and children. We promote best practices and offer psychoeducation to support healthy maternal and child development. Our program is unique in our ability to engage families with regularity and consistency not offered with many home visitation providers on a long term basis continuing for a 5-6 year period.
We embrace a relational health model that supports the ideology that once parents experience safety, predictability, comfort and joy in a genuine way as is developed within the confines of a healthy relationship with another, they are then able to provide the same experience for their children.
